On November 22nd SLPowers and friends gathered at The Palm Beach Photographic Centre for the
6th Annual Margarita Ball. What a night it was!
Draped and dressed in shades of green, The Margarita Ball was the kickoff to the Holiday Season thanks to our incredible sponsors! Many thanks to VMware, Dell, WatchGuard, EVault, Compuware, StorageCraft, and Eaton — we greatly appreciate your support! We were thrilled to spend the evening welcoming clients, partners, friends and community supporters to collect toys and supplies for Community Friends.
The photography on display was stunning, the conversation– engaging, the energy– electric.
This year we decided to jazz up the Margarita theme and add a customizable margarita station with freshly pureed watermelon, strawberry and pineapple, as well as other complimentary mix-ins like mint and pomegranate. It was a hit! Everything went deliciously with our new signature margarita formula, created especially for Margarita Ball. (It’s a secret recipe, sorry!)
2013’s Margarita Ball had many firsts, but the most exciting is the debut of our homegrown band, The Lemmings! If you weren’t able to make it for the performance, check out the video below. We think our guys ROCKED it! (And no one had to jump off a cliff.)
Heath Gieson– Guitar and Vocals Mike Gavaghen– Lead Guitar and Vocals Robbie MacDonald– Guitar, Keyboard, Harmonica Chris Carson– Bass Tom Carracino– Guitar and Vocals Jesse Williams– Drums
After The Lemmings, Jason Montero took over. Everyone was delighted by his range of music and his impressive talent. A wonderful time was had by all, singing along and dancing.
With support from Margarita Ball attendees, we were able to collect over 400 toys for Community Friends!! How awesome! Thanks to all of our generous friends for attending. If you’d like more information on supporting our community and donating to Community Friends, see the information below. We’d be happy to connect you.
