Although the FACOSACOBACOCACO auction was held on April 1st, it was no April Fool’s joke. The auction, which marked the end of the annual sales contest, was the perfect way to celebrate this silliest day of the year. Employees noshed, sipped and then a spirited competition ensued.
Special FACOSACOBACOCACO bucks were printed up for payment on the array of prizes. Each employee collected virtual bucks, (greenbacks, samolians, cheddar) for their fund throughout the contest period, to use toward the prizes. Everybody had a chance to bid on items, from hotel stays to gaming consoles and everything in between.
It wouldn’t be an auction without a professional auctioneer! SLPowers found an awesome and engaging auctioneer, Tom Curran, to come and host our bidding extravaganza! He got the animated participants excited to bid!
For remote employees who couldn’t make it into the party, there was a live feed so they could keep up with the fun and festivities. They might have missed out on the cupcakes but had a front row seat for the camaraderie.
